Fire Fighting Technician cum Driver

Summary

Performs on-site inspection, maintenance, and repairs of fire protection systems while driving company vehicles to project locations in Dubai.

To carry out inspection, preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and rectification of fire protection systems at client sites while also supporting transportation of manpower, tools, and materials to project locations. The role requires hands-on technical expertise across multiple fire protection system brands and a valid UAE driving license.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of fire fighting systems.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and commission fire protection systems in accordance with relevant standards and client requirements.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in fire alarm panels, detectors, sounders, modules, extinguishing systems, pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, hose reels, and related equipment.
  • Conduct routine testing and maintenance of fire pumps, jockey pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrant networks, and clean agent suppression systems.
  • Prepare service reports, inspection checklists, and maintenance records.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Civil Defence regulations, NFPA standards, and company HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and clients regarding maintenance schedules, site observations, and rectification requirements.
  • Attend emergency breakdown calls and provide prompt technical support.

Technical Requirements

Candidates must possess hands-on maintenance experience in multiple brands of fire fighting systems, including but not limited to:

  • Honeywell
  • Notifier
  • Siemens
  • Edwards
  • GST
  • Apollo
  • Hochiki
  • Simplex
  • Kentec
  • Zeta
  • NAFFCO
  • Other major fire alarm and fire protection system brands

Qualifications & Experience

  • ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of UAE/GCC experience in fire fighting and fire alarm system maintenance projects.
  • Strong knowledge of AMC operations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working across commercial, residential, industrial, and healthcare facilities.
  • Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Immediate joiners preferred.
  • UAE Civil Defence-approved technician certification will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across multiple fire protection system brands.
