Position – : Safety Officer

Employment Type – Full Time

Work Location – Jigani, Bangalore


Key Responsibilities:

· Implement and monitor Safety Systems and Procedures

· Investigate, analysis and take counter measures for all accidents & incidents and prevent

reoccurrence of similar cases

· Review of accident and incident analysis and control measures for effective implementation

of control measures

· Implement HIRA, review and facilitate counter measures to convert intolerable risks to

tolerable risks

· Ensure Compliance to Legal Requirements and other requirements related to Health,

Safety, and Environment like Factories act, Pollution control board.

· Ensuring Compliance in work permit like Hot, Height, confined space work, flammable gas

unloading.

· Coordinate the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, accident

prevention and investigation, work place inspections and other matters related to

· Implementing safety procedures in the facilities

· To conduct emergency preparedness and mock drill exercise.

· Lead people participation initiatives for achieving continual improvements to create safe

working place.

· Respond to safety concerns raised by employees by developing and implementing corrective

and preventive actions

· Formation of Safety committee and conduct safety committee meetings

· Design and develop Standard operating procedures in Safety

· Regularly interact with shop managers, department heads, safety committee members for

reducing and controlling the hazards, accidents and incidents

· Interact with external agencies for procurement of safety devices or equipment

· To ensure all safety related gadgets like Fire Extinguisher, Hydrant, first aid box, Eyewash

shower, etc. are good as per check sheet.

· Ensuring Employees undergone Medical Examinations

· Comprehensive understanding of ISO: 45001:2018as per statuary requirements



Requirements


Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Diploma in Safety or a related field.

· Proven experience in EHS, preferably in the electric vehicle or automotive industry.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team.

· In-depth knowledge of safety standards.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
