Fire Sprinkler Designer

In order to be considered, applicants must be experienced in the design of automatic fire sprinkler systems to include site-survey, field routing of piping, drafting, hydraulic calculations, AHJ submittals, and material listing. Applicants must be proficient with AutoCad, HydraCad, or AutoSprink programs. Applicants will be required to pass background and drug screening.

Duties:

Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial applications.
Assist Design Manager with oversight, training, and mentoring of design staff.
Prepare material submittals, O&M Manuals and As Builts
Prepare stocklists/fabrication reports
Provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting, and construction.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project personnel.

Qualifications:

Three years’ experience in fire sprinkler design
AutoSPRINK experience required
NICET Level II or higher certification preferred
Must be familiar with NFPA standards and FM Global guidelines.
Technical understanding of fire sprinkler design including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office programs
Texas RME-G license a plus
