Firefighter (Hazardous Materials Technician / Basic Life Support)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Performs firefighting and rescue operations.

Assigned to a crew engaged in structural firefighting, rescue, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) incident response functions.

Performs noninvasive emergency medical procedures to provide Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responds to hazardous material incidents.

Drives and operates firefighting/rescue vehicles, participates in rescue operations to include confined space, high-angle, and other special operations.
