Firmware Engineer
Summary
A permanent Firmware Engineer role with a large consultancy serving the MOD and critical national infrastructure: designing, developing and testing embedded firmware (C++) on a research/proof-of-concept programme alongside hardware engineers as a lab is built in Malvern. Requires secure-environment experience, MOD DV/eDV clearance eligibility and sole UK nationality.
Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong experience in embedded software or firmware (SFIA levels 3–6); developing and senior engineers are welcome to apply
- Comfortable working in secure, regulated environments
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain MOD DV or eDV clearance
- Sole UK national; dual nationality is not eligible due to the sensitivity of the work
- Design, develop and test embedded firmware for a platform or domain to be confirmed
- Work closely with hardware engineers as the lab and test environment is built in Malvern
- Support the first six months of research, with a view to delivering a proof of concept
