First Line Manager
Position: Warehouse First Line Manager
Location: Milton Keynes (MK4 3FU)
Grade: RCS. N
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (08:00-16:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Control Tower team (various different contract)
- Track real-time performance using dashboards and reporting tools- Smart Prod
- Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), development and/or succession planning, providing coaching as appropriate
- Support and contribute towards briefing activities such as performance management appraisals, comms zone briefs, PD boards, disciplinaries and grievances, informal / formal conversations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Handle operational issues, escalations, and incident resolution
- Prepare operational reports and communicate performance updates to management
✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Previous people management experience (First Line Manager/Shift Manager/Team Leader) is essential
- Experience with Smart Analytics and/or SmartProd would be a significant advantageous
- Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and working with formulas
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- IT literate - WMS and Microsoft packages
