Make a Difference
This coaching role will support Rock Steady Boxing classes for patients with Parkinson’s. The position emphasizes adaptable fitness coaching, participant relationships, and instruction across two locations. The role is based in Anderson and Pendleton. Responsibilities include coaching or assisting classes, creating Parkinson’s-focused workouts, and adapting activities for varied mobility levels. Candidates should have general fitness education, comfort working with adults with mobility limitations, and willingness to learn Parkinson’s programming.

• Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to use a computer for documentation and work related purposes
• Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills are required.
• Demonstrates accountability for own actions
• Provides service in a willing and courteous manner
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
• Able to take direction well, but also be self-directed and motivated.

Additional requirements

• Must become certified as Rock Steady Coach within 1 year of hire
