Position Type: Full-Time (40 Hours per week)

Essential Functions
- Evaluate, correct, and educate residents regarding exercise technique and appropriate use of equipment.
- Maintain equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Maintain a clean and inviting work environment according to health department codes and facility standards.
- Perform fitness evaluations and assessments.
- Prescribe flexibility, cardiovascular, and strength training exercises.
- Supervise members and attend to their needs in a friendly, polite, courteous, and professional manner.
- Teach group exercise classes such as strength, TRX suspension, aqua fitness, circuit, Zumba, etc.
- Provide fitness floor and Power Plate personal training sessions.
- Assist with coordination, promotion, and implementation of Wellness programs.
- Schedule appointments and classes and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain resident information and health club statistics.
- Build relationships with residents and staff, encouraging them to be more physically active.
- Assist where needed in the training of new Wellness Department employees.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in health Related/Physical Education field with emphasis on Exercise Physiology preferred.
- Multiple certifications through a national organization (ACSM, ACE, AFAA, AEA).
- Experience working with seniors with a successful track record of training clients.
- Prefer 2 or more years of fitness industry experience with progressive responsibilities.
- Certified group fitness instructor a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
