Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate recording, classification, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposal of fixed assets.
- Coordinate with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and hotel management teams regarding fixed assets.
- Conduct regular physical asset verification and reconciliation against accounting records.
- Monitor asset movements between hotels, departments, and locations and ensure proper documentation.
- Review capital expenditure (CAPEX) and ensure assets are properly recorded and classified.
- Coordinate the process of asset additions, transfers, disposals, write-offs, and replacements.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical assets and the fixed asset register.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures.
- Prepare periodic fixed asset reports for management and Finance.
- Support annual financial audits and provide required fixed asset schedules and supporting documentation.
- Monitor depreciation calculations and ensure assets are depreciated according to company policies.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to capital expenditures and asset replacements.
- Establish and maintain proper documentation and controls for asset management.
- Support hotel opening, renovation, and refurbishment projects in relation to asset registration and capitalization.
- Train and guide hotel teams on fixed asset procedures and documentation requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Fixed Assets / Asset Management, preferably within the hotel or hospitality sector.
- Strong understanding of hotel fixed assets, CAPEX, depreciation, and asset reconciliation.
- Experience managing fixed assets across multiple hotels or locations is preferred.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and fixed asset management systems.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good command of English.
