Flatbed Die Cutter Operator 2nd Shift

Summary

Assists Machine Operators in a cardboard packaging manufacturing facility, performing duties including operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks), cutting straps, maintaining work areas, quality control checks, and inventory management during 2nd shift.

SUMMARY: The Helper will assist the Machine Operator as needed throughout the shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cut all straps and remove all excess cardboard from sheets before entry into machine.
  • Safely operate standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain a clean work area, machine, tools and equipment.
  • Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain inventories of items needed by operator.
  • Perform quality control on own work.
  • Assist Machine Operators as necessary.
  • Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
