Job Title: Fleet Customer Service Rep

Memphis, TN | Onsite

Summary:

This front-line operations role is responsible for freight order data entry, appointment scheduling, and trip monitoring. In addition, you will collaborate closely with Account Managers to build strong customer relationships, oversee daily customer activity, and provide support as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, addressing inquiries, processing freight orders, and resolving service issues.
  • Accurately enter and update shipment details, appointments, and tracking information in the system.
  • Monitor and track freight shipments, proactively communicating status updates to customers.
  • Work closely with dispatchers, drivers, and account managers to coordinate deliveries and resolve delays.
  • Assist with appointment scheduling and ensure on-time pickup and delivery of shipments.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of customer interactions, service requests, and issue resolutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Identify and escalate service concerns to management when necessary.
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Skills & Assets:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably in trucking, logistics, or transportation.
  • Experience in transportation management systems (TMS), Microsoft Office, and data entry preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment

Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically

Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Ability to lift and carry office materials or supplies up to 15--25 pounds occasionally
