Fleet Manager (Dry Bulk Vessels)

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Fleet Manager for an established Ship Management Company to manage the company's fleet of 3rd party vessels. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of managerial experience as Fleet Manager from the maritime industry. He/she would possess strong leadership and organizational skills and is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.


Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee a team of Vessel Managers and be responsible for their technical management of the vessels, ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, crew management, maintenance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a primary point of contact and ensuring their needs and expectations are met efficiently and effectively.
  
• Overall accountable to provide accurate and timely reports on the vessel performance and overall operational effectiveness of the clients vessels.
  
• Oversee and manage the budget for the fleet, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining high operational standards.
  
• Ensure strict compliance with maritime regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards, keeping the fleet in adherence with legal and regulatory requirements.
  
• Lead a team of technical and operational staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  

Qualifications

• Technical/maritime qualifications with seagoing experience as Chief Engineer with relevant shore-based experience.
• Strong understanding of dry bulk vessel operations, maintenance, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in fleet management, preferably within the dry bulk sector.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Self-driven and having good interpersonal and time management skills.
