At Utz Brands, we’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Fleet Operations Manager to join our team in Hanover, PA. In this role, you’ll play a key part in optimizing fleet performance by driving preventative maintenance strategies, improving operational efficiencies, and supporting cost-saving initiatives across a large-scale fleet operation.

You’ll work closely with the Manager, Fleet Services while collaborating with internal teams, mechanics, and vendors to keep operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute effectively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee work order management and service request intake to ensure timely completion of fleet repairs
  • Manage daily fleet maintenance operations, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant
  • Execute preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate service records
  • Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations, permits, and inspection requirements
  • Develop and maintain shop performance standards (KPIs, SOPs, standard repair times)
  • Coordinate with mechanics, vendors, and third-party providers for repairs and parts procurement
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions
  • Support compliance efforts, including audits, documentation, and regulatory reporting
  • Administer company vehicle personal use tracking (Motus)
  • Review and process maintenance-related invoices, purchase orders, and service requests
  • Support onboarding of new fleet assets and decommissioning of retired vehicles
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate operational reports
  • Provide support for urgent issues, including occasional after-hours calls and on-call situations

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience managing fleet maintenance operations, preferably in a large-scale environment (500–1,000 assets)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or administrative experience preferred
  • Experience analyzing transportation operations, policies, and efficiency opportunities
  • Strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance of commercial fleet assets
  • Working knowledge of fleet management systems, work order software, and maintenance tracking tools
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate within a team
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Flexibility to support business needs, including occasional after-hours communication and on-call responsibilities
