Fleet Scheduler

Open 24d

Summary

Coordinates daily truck movements, schedules, and compliance for a transport fleet in Geraldton, acting as the main contact for drivers and operations teams.

Location: Geraldton
Roster: 7 Days on, 7 Days off
Shift: 6am to 6pm
Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent

We are looking for a practical, organised and confident Fleet Scheduler to join our Geraldton-based operations team. This is a newly created role that will play an important part in coordinating daily truck movements, supporting drivers and helping keep our transport operations running safely and efficiently.

As Fleet Scheduler, you will be the key day-to-day contact for drivers and operations personnel, helping coordinate schedules, truck availability, product movements and compliance requirements.

Because this is a new role, the first month will involve learning the operation, building the rhythm of the position and working closely with Supervisors while responsibilities are refined. The role will continue to evolve as the function becomes more established.

Please note: This is a residential role in Geraldton. Applicants must currently reside in Geraldton to be considered.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for drivers, including attendance, schedules and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate daily truck movements across the Ruvidini and Cue operations to support efficient fleet utilisation.
  • Monitor operational dashboards to track truck performance, trip progress and scheduling compliance.
  • Plan and coordinate product movements to maintain efficient delivery flow between site operations and the Port.
  • Review and approve load plans and fatigue management documentation, ensuring paperwork is accurate and complete when drivers return vehicle keys.
  • Coordinate driver start times with truck availability to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Manage check-weigh activities and complete associated documentation accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with operations personnel to ensure daily transport activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures.

About you

You do not need to have previous truck or heavy vehicle experience to be considered. What matters most is your ability to coordinate people, stay organised, think ahead and communicate confidently in a busy operational environment.

We are looking for someone who can build strong working relationships with drivers while also bringing the confidence and authority needed to keep schedules on track.

What you will bring

  • Strong people skills and the ability to communicate clearly with drivers and operations teams.
  • Confidence to manage competing priorities and make practical decisions during the shift.
  • Strong scheduling, planning and multitasking ability.
  • The ability to think ahead and coordinate start times, finish times and truck movements.
  • Good computer skills and confidence working across dashboards, systems and documentation.
  • A strong safety mindset and willingness to learn compliance and fatigue management requirements.
  • A calm, organised and resilient approach in a busy transport environment.

Why join us?

This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on operational role where you can help shape how the Fleet Scheduler function works from the ground up. You will be supported as you learn the operation and will have the chance to make a real impact on daily fleet coordination, driver support and transport performance.
