Latham Centers is seeking compassionate and dependable Flex Direct Support Professionals to support our Children's Program. This role offers the opportunity to work throughout the program based on staffing needs, providing direct support, supervision, and encouragement to students in a variety of settings. Location: Brewster, MA
Compensation: $21.97–$23.75 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care, supervision, encouragement, and support to children with complex special needs
  • Work throughout the Children's Program based on staffing and program needs
  • Support students with daily living skills, personal care, meals, recreation, and other activities
  • Help create a structured, safe, and positive environment for students
  • Implement individualized support and behavior plans under the direction of program leadership
  • Encourage students to develop independence, social skills, and community-based skills
  • Communicate important student information, observations, and concerns with team members and supervisors
  • Complete required documentation, progress notes, and incident reports
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
  • Respond appropriately and compassionately to behavioral or crisis situations
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all Latham Centers policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Flexibility to work throughout the Children's Program based on staffing needs
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support children with disabilities
  • Ability to safely intervene during extreme behavioral situations
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • One year of experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required
