Primary Locations: Colorado Springs, Falcon, Fountain, & Manitou, CO
(Some sites not accessible by public transportation due to location and/or shift)
Wage Range: $18.00-$19.50/HR - (Based On Placement)

The Flex Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:
- Report alarms in accordance with client requirements, and monitor cameras.
- Greet vendors, customers, residents, client employee’s, client, and aid as needed.
- Conduct internal patrol and/or external mobile patrol when needed to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
- Monitor entrance/exits and provide guidance to site visitors, and/or vendors.
- Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports and logs via Securitas and client systems.
- Provide an atmosphere in which all customers, client employees, site visitors, client, and Management know their needs are being met.
- Present a good image to client, public, and Management.
- Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disruption to leave property.
- Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.
- Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client, Company Management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
- Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
- Ability to obtain overtime and higher wages dependent on staffing needs.
- Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
Basic Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
- All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
- Appropriate I9 Identifications to ensure ability to onboard. Applicants without appropriate I9 Identifications at time of offer may be required to apply at a later time.
- Willingness to travel 25-30 miles to and from work.
- Understands the nature of customer service and interactions with the public.
- Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
- Must be able to interact with and greet site visitors, residents customers, client employees, or client in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Intermediate computer/technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, and logs via handheld devices, and ability to report alarms via telephone.
- Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist vendors, public, client, Site Supervisors, and Office Management.
- Must be open to communication and feedback from client, Site Supervisor and Office Management.
- Must be able to adhere to 15 minute, and lunch breaks.
- Must be able to work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily.
- Must be able to remain organized and professional.
- Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.
- Must provide high quality customer service in-person, via radio, and over the telephone.
- Must have a personal vehicle, Colorado Driver’s License, and a clean driving record due to required mobile patrol.
- Must be able to obtain Colorado Springs Guard Card license and maintain it every year.
- Must be able to attend in-person interview, and in-person orientation in Colorado Springs if hired.
