Flight Control Engineer (Modelling and System Identification) (m/f/d)

Summary

Develop and implement aircraft flight dynamics and subsystem models (aerodynamics, propulsion, actuators) across Desktop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and Aircraft-in-the-Loop simulation environments. Use system identification methods to tune, verify, and validate models using flight test data, and support flight control algorithm development.

  • Development and implementation of aircraft flight dynamics and subsystem models including aerodynamics, propulsion, actuator, ground interaction, and environmental effects for different test environments\:

  • -Desktop simulation

  • -Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation

  • -Aircraft-in-the-Loop simulation

  • Tuning, verification, and validation of existing and future models using system identification methods during nominal and failure conditions\:

  • -Application of time and frequency domain methods

  • -Specification of suitable flight test points

  • -Analysis and processing of flight test results

  • -Update of non-linear simulation models based on results

  • Collaboration with the flight test team to support the preparation and planning of flight test campaigns

  • On-site and remote support of flight tests

  • Trimming and linearization of non-linear flight dynamics models

  • Maintaining test environment documentation and contributing to product documentation and user manuals

  • Support development and implementation of flight control algorithms

  • Developing and maintaining analysis tools for automated processing, comparison, and reporting of simulation and flight test data
