Flight Management Avionics Software Engineer

Leonardo S.p.A. is seeking a Flight Management Engineer to analyze avionic system requirements and translate them into embedded, real-time software for the Flight Planning and Sensor Management functions.

The role supports Leonardo Helicopters programs and interfaces with multiple teams and suppliers across development lifecycles. You will contribute to the design, development, integration, verification, and certification activities while working within a hybrid, international environment.

Analyze avionic system requirements and customer needs to define subsystem software requirements and design solutions. Develop and certify embedded real-time software for Flight Management System aboard Leonardo Helicopters products. Coordinate activities to develop, integrate, validate, and qualify software applications. Interface with suppliers for outsourced activities and platform procurement. Lead development and verification teams and manage schedule, costs, and resources. Degree in a technical discipline is required. minimum 5 to 6 words Experience with embedded real-time safety-critical software is a plus. Ability to work in cross-functional, distributed teams is essential.
