Float Direct Support Professional
NewBe an early applicantAt Homeward Bound, Float Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help empower people with developmental and physical disabilities to live full, dignified, and enriching lives. Float DSPs train and support across multiple residential homes, building strong relationships with both the individuals we serve and the staff teams you’ll work alongside.
Schedules Available:
This full-time position is 40 hours per week. Regular schedules will be assigned within one of these availability options:

Day/Evening Float: 7:00am-11:00pm, either Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday.
What You’ll Do:

Support individuals in daily living skills such as meal preparation, hygiene, dressing, and community activities.

Ensure the health and safety of the people served, including administering medications and monitoring health needs.

Provide life-enriching experiences such as outings, celebrations, and activities that promote independence and joy.

Mentor and train staff while maintaining flexibility to float between different group home locations.

- One year experience providing direct care to people with disabilities required
- Must be 18+ years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pass a MN Department of Human Services background study
- Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

Current CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if not current)
