The Float Food & Beverage Supervisor provides operational leadership and service support across both Old Edwards Club and GlenCove. The supervisor will work closely with management teams at both properties, adapting to the unique needs of each venue while upholding Old Edwards Hospitality's commitment to excellence.
Job Summary
The Float Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees daily front-of-house operations at Old Edwards Club and GlenCove, supporting restaurant, bar, event, and member service functions as needed. This position assists with staff leadership, guest satisfaction, service execution, and operational consistency across both locations. The supervisor serves as a visible leader, ensuring team members provide outstanding hospitality and that all food and beverage experiences meet company standards.
Responsibilities
- Support daily food and beverage operations at both Old Edwards Club and GlenCove, providing leadership where needed.
- Assist Restaurant Managers and Food & Beverage Managers with training, coaching, and developing team members on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Maintain and promote exceptional guest service standards, ensuring all members and guests receive a welcoming and personalized experience.
- Monitor food quality, beverage quality, service standards, cleanliness, and presentation throughout all dining and event spaces.
- Collaborate with management teams to develop innovative service concepts and enhance the overall guest experience.
- Ensure proper dining room, bar, patio, and event space setup and readiness for daily service and special events.
- Address guest concerns, requests, and service recovery situations promptly and professionally.
- Serve as a liaison between front-of-house staff, culinary teams, and management to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing adjustments, and operational support during high-volume periods, special events, and employee absences.
- Provide flexible leadership and support for last-minute operational changes and business needs across both properties.
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and service procedures while fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment.
- Support inventory controls, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and operational accountability as assigned.
- Maintain a strong floor presence and lead by example through professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
