Floating Medical Assistant and Patient Services Representative

POSITION SUMMARY: The Floating Medical Assistant works with the Physician and other members of the primary or specialty care team by performing a variety of clinical and administrative patient-related duties. The Medical Assistant also works to fulfill a variety of patient needs and ensures smooth patient flow within the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets patients on the phone and in person
• Willing to drive between Bountiful, Park City, Salt Lake City, Heber, Sandy, Eagle Mountain, West Jordan
• Places patients in the exam rooms
• Takes vital signs and perform ancillary tests appropriate to skill level
• Assists and sets up for providers during examination, treatment, and procedures
• Keeps accurate patient files
• Applies dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by provider
• Ensures rooms are stocked with necessary supplies
• Maintains a sanitized and safe working environment
• Maintains HIPAA
• Coordination of services between multiple practices demonstrable by excellent communication skills
• Performs administrative tasks and must be cross trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support as needed
