Catering Driver / Attendant

Join Our Aviation Catering Team

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused Catering Driver/Attendant to join our Flight Services team. This role is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of airline catering and associated services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and customer service. Position reports to the Catering Duty Supervisor.

Purpose

To ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of catering and related services to airline customers and other clients in accordance with operational standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Catering Driver/Attendant, you will:

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and operational safety checks before commencing duties.
• Report vehicle defects and ensure all catering vehicles remain roadworthy and well-maintained.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and hygiene in line with airline catering requirements.
• Safely transport and deliver catering supplies and associated equipment to aircraft.
• Comply with all airsides, tarmac, and aviation safety procedures at all times.
• Ensure catering deliveries meet customer specifications and scheduled timelines.
• Adhere to company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards throughout all catering operations.
• Handle returned equipment and prepare items for cleaning and ware washing.
• Undertake other operational duties as directed by the Duty Supervisor or Catering Operations Manager.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Applicants must possess:

• Minimum Grade 10/12 education with passes in English and Mathematics
• A current Class 3 or Class 6 Driver's License.
• Knowledge of Defensive Driving Techniques.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and food safety standards
• Only male applicants required

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Minimum five (5) years' driving experience holding a Class 3 or Class 6 license.
• A strong incident-free driving and work history.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and customer service
• Must have a valid Police Clearance-(6months)
• Literacy skills sufficient to complete required operational documentation.
