Project Description

The project is focused on a mobile application for the cruise industry, where the team is developing new customer-facing features to enhance the guest experience. As part of the product roadmap, the existing functionality is gradually being extracted into a separate standalone application. The development process involves close collaboration with the web development team to align requirements, ensure feature consistency across platforms, and support a seamless transition of shared functionality.

What You'll Do

  • Develop mobile applications for Android and iOS using Flutter framework;
  • Create and manage navigation flows within the application, including routing, page transitions, and deep linking;
  • Collaborate with the product and design teams to understand project requirements and design guidelines;
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code;
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications;
  • Create bridges in native code (platform-specific code) when necessary to integrate with device-specific features and APIs;
  • Participate in triaging incidents and issues reported by the support team;
  • Monitor and analyze production problems, responding promptly to incidents;
  • Ensure high code quality by covering functionality with automated tests;

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years of commercial experience with Flutter;
  • Strong knowledge of Dart and Flutter;
  • Experience with state management, for example Provider or Bloc;
  • Understanding of architecture and design patterns;
  • Experience with Flutter navigation, routing, page transitions, and deep linking;
  • Ability to create native bridges when platform-specific functionality is needed;
  • Experience with async code and isolates;
  • Experience with unit, widget, or automation testing;
  • Ability to understand the business domain, not just implement tasks mechanically;
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to leads and the team;
  • Willingness to share knowledge and contribute to team growth;
  • Ability to have 4 hours of overlap with the Boston team, until 12:00 PM UTC-5;
  • English level from Upper-Intermediate or higher;

Nice To Have

  • Familiarity with Swift or Kotlin is a plus;
  • Experience with Firebase push notifications;
  • Experience with other mobile development frameworks;
