Food & Beverage Associate

As a member of the Gilroy Gardens foods crew, you’ll be a member of a tight-knit team, working together to prepare meals, take food orders, keep the restaurant clean, and bring smiles to customers’ faces with great service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Greets Guests in a friendly, courteous manner

2. Answers and directs Guests with questions to ensure quality service is provided

3. Takes food orders, receives payment, and makes change using a cash register

4. Operate cash register

5. Ensures all equipment is being used properly and in proper working order, notifying the Supervisor of any malfunctions, safety concerns or needs

6. Sets up and stocks restaurant condiment areas

7. Keeps kitchen and dining areas neat and clean; washing floors and tables, emptying trash cans, and washing dishes

8. Ensures food portion control is observed

9. Uses soda fountain, milk shake & frozen dessert machines

10. Uses water heater and coffee maker to prepare hot beverages

11. Cooks and prepares food

12. Knowledge of emergency exit procedures

13. Performs all duties in a safe/responsible manner

14. Performs other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

1. Must be at least 16 years of age

2. Must have reliable transportation to get to work

3. Must have full availability including weekends and holidays

4. Must have good communication skills

5. Must have the ability to exercise good judgment in working with a variety of people

6. Must have the following abilities to satisfactorily perform the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Lifting objects weighing up to 60 pounds

· Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching above shoulders, and wet floors

· Ability to work in warm room temperatures and humid environments

· Contact with cleaning supplies

· Ability to follow written and oral instruction

· Ability to perform basic math functions

· Problem solving with minimal supervision

· Organizing and prioritizing to meet deadlines
