Food & Beverage Attendant
- Assist guests with menu offerings and maximise sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
- Effectively take orders and ensure accuracy by repeating order(s) to the guests.
- Input orders promptly ensuring the kitchen can fulfill their duties effectively.
- Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; ensure items are announced.
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within the Food Safety Program (e.g. Awareness of allergies and dietary requirements)
- Maintain hygienic food service techniques at all times.
- Maintain clean and neat presentation of bar and restaurant area(s), following set opening, closing and daily procedures.
- Take responsibility for your designated section and station.
- Promptly answer the telephone and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
- Involved in the service of a variety of functions and events.
- Setup and reset specific Conference & Function activities as directed.
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
- Maintain currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles. Notify your manager/supervisor if you require assistance.
- Customer service experience or experience in a similar environment
- An awareness of food safety practices preferred.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
- The ability to work a flexible 7-day roster.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Well-presented with a natural ability to build rapport both in person and over the telephone
- Strong focus and passion for hotel operations
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Ability to provide prompt and efficient service including upselling advantageous
