FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER (PUB)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pub operations including bar, kitchen, and floor management to ensure smooth functioning within budget limits
  • Deliver high-energy, excellent guest service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Curate and update drink and food menus while managing supplier relationships to maintain quality and variety
  • Control stock levels, minimize waste, and manage costs to optimize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with liquor licensing regulations, responsible service standards, and safety protocols
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and coordinate special events to enhance patron experience
  • Plan and execute promotions, happy hours, and themed events to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Track and analyze sales, labor costs, and overall profitability to inform operational decisions
  • Maintain pub ambiance through management of music, lighting, and cleanliness to create a welcoming environment

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proven pub/bar management experience
  • Strong knowledge of beer, spirits, cocktails, and pub food
  • Familiarity with liquor laws and responsible service requirements
  • Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management tools, and MS Office applications
  • Ability to solve problems effectively under pressure
  • Skilled in delegating tasks across teams to ensure operational efficiency
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage staff and customer interactions
  • Up-to-date knowledge of nightlife and drink trends
  • Capability to manage staff, control costs, and meet sales targets
  • Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
