Food Expeditor
Contra Costa Country Club in Pleasant Hill, CA is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Food Expeditor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Compensation: $16.90–$18.00/hour + service charge
The Food Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams. This position is responsible for maintaining accuracy, quality, and timeliness of food leaving the kitchen, while upholding the elevated standards expected in a private country club environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced setting, communicates clearly, and supports both dining and event operations with consistency and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Kitchen Coordination & Service Flow:
- Manage the pass, ensuring all dishes are prepared to club standards and delivered promptly
- Communicate clearly with chefs, servers, and support staff to maintain seamless service
- Verify order accuracy, presentation, and special dietary requests before food leaves the kitchen
- Prioritize and organize incoming tickets to support efficient kitchen workflow

Member Experience Support:
- Maintain a polished, calm, and professional presence during high‑volume periods
- Assist servers with timing, course pacing, and special requests
- Ensure food quality and consistency align with club expectations

Event & Operational Support:

Assist with event setup, including buffet staging, equipment placement, and coordination with the events team

Support banquet service as needed, including expediting plated events

Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line, service stations, and back‑of‑house areas

Follow all club service standards, grooming guidelines, and communication protocols

Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and responsible service practices
- Report any issues, delays, or member concerns to management promptly

Prior experience in a restaurant or private club environment preferred

Strong communication and multitasking skills

Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast‑paced setting

Professional appearance and member‑first mindset

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and peak club events
