Food Lab Assistant (Serangoon)

Job Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with preparing crockery and ingredients for cookery lessons.
• Distribute crockery and ingredients to students during lessons.
• Clean and properly store equipment and crockery after lessons.
• Keep tables and floors clean after each lesson and at the end of the day.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising department.

Job Requirements

• Minimum GCE N-Level qualification, with the ability to understand instructions and communicate in simple English.
• Valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 or higher certification throughout the contract period.
• Knowledge of food preparation and safety.
• At least 1 year of relevant food-handling experience.

Duration/Working Hours:

10 months - subj to an extension of 2 further period of 9 months (4 Jan 2027 to 29 Oct 2027)

Option Year 1: 3 Jan 2028 – 27 Oct 2028
Option Year 2: 2 Jan 2029 – 26 Oct 2029

Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
Service not required on:
o Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
o First 3 weeks of June Holidays
o School holidays in November and December
o Youth Day, eve of Teachers' Day, Teachers' Day, eve of National Day, Thanksgiving and Award Presentation Ceremony (TAPC)
