Food Program Lead
Description: Food program leads work at assigned locations with specific responsibilities for serving food items to program participants and eligible youth. Under the direction of the food program coordinators, this position will assist with compliance with federal and state requirements of the food program.
- Food program leads are responsible for maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. They must be able to drive to designated school and community sites and arrange food and beverages in the designated areas to serve them to program participants and eligible youth.
- Food program leads ensure that the food delivered matches what is stated on the delivery slip. They turn in delivery slips to the food program department at the end of each week.
- Food program leads are responsible for recording the number of meals served and refrigerator temperatures. They must communicate to food program coordinators about excessive leftover meals.
- It is the food program lead’s responsibility to maintain equipment, storage, food preparation, and serving areas in a sanitary condition (e.g., cleaning and sanitizing tables, trays, counters, etc.) for the purpose of complying with current health standards and ensure food handling safety. They must maintain site refrigerators clean.
- Food program leads observe students and staff to ensure that all parties are following the food program policies and procedures.
- Hours: Part-time, non-exempt
- Must be available from Monday to Friday between 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- Worksite: Schools in the Anaheim Elementary School District and other community centers
- Wage: $18.00 per hour
