Description

Food Runner & Support, Sweeney's on Boylston

Welcome home! Since 1900, The Lenox has been a Back Bay icon: independent, full of character, and serious about hospitality (but never stuffy). We give our team the freedom to surprise and delight guests in their own way, and for a lot of travelers, we're their home base in Boston. Our people are a big part of why.

Sound like you?
You get a buzz from a packed dining room. You love good food. You're a team player who takes pride in getting it right, and you like keeping things moving. If that's you, we'd love to meet you.

Food Runners are the bridge between the kitchen and the table. You'll get dishes out fast, accurately, and looking great, back up our servers, keep the service flowing, and (yes, really) have fun doing it.

Where you'll be running
You'll work across all three of our spots:

Sweeney's on Boylston: Our lively neighborhood hangout serving Irish classics and Lenox favorites. Always a good time.

The Irving at The Lenox: An intimate lobby cocktail bar with turn‑of‑the‑century charm, known for beautifully crafted cocktails and a sense of intrigue.

Willow & Ivy: Executive Chef Daniel Kenney's fresh, refined take on New England–inspired American food, in a beautifully reimagined space.

What you'll do

  • Deliver food to guests timely
  • Make sure every plate looks the way it should when it hits the table
  • Keep the lines open between servers and the kitchen so service runs smoothly
  • Help clear, reset, and keep the dining rooms looking sharp

  • Bring polished, guest-first energy to every shift

What you bring

  • Great communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Restaurant, hotel, or food service experience is a plus
  • You thrive when things get busy
  • You're comfortable carrying trays and weaving through a full 2-floor dining room
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

The perks

  • Affordable medical and dental, plus short- and long-term disability and AD&D coverage
  • 401(k) with a generous company match
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time
  • Free meals on shift
  • Discounted parking
  • $10/hour plus tips
