Job Summary

Join a North Indian food stall in Orchard as a self-driven solo operator managing food preparation, customer service, and stall hygiene independently with occasional owner support. Minimal experience and no relevant educational qualification is fine as we're looking for an individual keen to learn and grow with us.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve Indian breads such as naan, roti, and kulcha using a tandoor (preferred) or tawa/grill to ensure authentic taste and quality
  • Heat and serve pre-prepared North Indian gravies and dishes to maintain consistent food standards
  • Perform basic cooking tasks including frying, steaming, and reheating to support daily food preparation
  • Take customer orders accurately and handle cash transactions to ensure smooth counter operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at the stall throughout operating hours to comply with food safety regulations
  • Work independently with responsibility and punctuality to manage the stall efficiently

Required competencies and certifications

  • Hold a valid Food Hygiene Certificate to comply with food safety requirements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Prior experience working in an Indian or North Indian kitchen to support authentic food preparation
  • Knowledge of tandoor cooking or willingness to learn to enhance food quality and operational skills
