Functional roles and responsibilities

• To organize production activities of the small works division to execute joinery works in accordance with the approved design, quality, and agreed time in a cost-effective manner.

• To prepare a cutting list, which clearly defines the complete measurements such as length, height, breadth, etc., based on the final approved drawing.

• Check and allocate timber based on the density, moisture content, appearance, and other specifications required for the production.

• Allocate the timber based on the cutting list and drawing to the workmen to ensure optimum utilization of resources such as manpower, machines, and tools.

• Supervise the work regularly, provide on-the-spot guidance to ensure high-quality craftsmanship, and keep the senior production supervisor posted on the progress of production. Intervene and resolve or change details as and when required to facilitate smooth implementation of installation as per plan.

• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher-level roles.

Education / Certification and continued education

• Trade apprenticeship or a higher secondary education.

Years of experience

• 5–7 years experience in the joinery industry with up to 2–3 years in a supervisory capacity.
