FOREMAN(TURNING DEPARTMENT)
Job Summary
Assists the produciton manager in leading workshop operations to maximize productivity, ensure quality, enforce safety, and coordinate manpower to minimize machine downtime.
Responsibilities
- Lead the turning department to achieve high-quality production outputs
- Enforce workshop safety protocols and 5S standards to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment
- Review and verify travelers and work orders before release to the machining floor to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Confirm machine setups and CNC programs comply precisely with specified program requirements to ensure production quality
- Mentor and train new machinists during induction and phase-in periods to develop skills and ensure compliance with standards
- Drive, monitor, and continuously boost machinists’ output and overall production floor efficiency
- Allocate manpower strategically across day and night shifts to maintain continuous machine operations and reduce downtime
- Develop and manage detailed production schedules and prepare jobs in advance to minimize machine downtime
Required competencies and certifications
- ITE NTC-2, O Level, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant working experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas equipment manufacturing
- Proficiency and deep familiarity with Mazatrol programming and Fanuc control programming
- Extensive experience operating heavy/large-scale machines, including 4-jaw machines
- Willingness to work rotational shifts as required by production demands
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
