About the role

Technical/Graduate Engineer in Forestry / Agricultural / Environmental Sciences_Pine Wilt Nematode (Palencia)

Empresa de Transformación Agraria, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., parent company of the TRAGSA GROUP, specializing in works related to rural development and nature conservation, is looking to hire 1 Technical/Graduate Engineer in Forestry / Agricultural / Environmental Sciences (MECES level 2) to provide support regarding Pine Wilt Nematode pests and diseases in Palencia.

What you'll do

• Support in forest stand prospecting for the control of quarantine organisms
• Support in obtaining and collecting plant samples for laboratory analysis.
• Support in conducting roadside controls during timber transport.
• Support in the monitoring of forest pests in Castilla y León.
• Insect trapping

What we're looking for

• Valid Type B driver's license in Spain.
• From 3 months to 1 year of experience in the prevention and eradication of the pine wilt nematode (verifiable through training and/or work or academic experience via employment contract/work history + CV)
• From 3 months to 1 year of experience in fieldwork (verifiable through training and/or work or academic experience via employment contract/work history + CV)
• From 1 year to 3 years performing functions as a mid-level professional (verifiable through training and/or work or academic experience via employment contract/work history + CV)

Nice to have

• in GIS (Geographic Information Systems)

Education & certifications

• You possess a degree as a Technical/Graduate Engineer in Forestry / Agricultural / Environmental Sciences (MECES level 2) (degree officially recognized in Spain or a certificate of equivalence issued by the General Secretariat of Universities).

How you'll work

• The application period will be open from today, 15/10/2026, until the next 29/10/2026 at 23:59 (peninsular time).
  
  A fixed-term contract with an estimated duration of 6 months is offered, with the possibility of an extension up to a maximum of 12 months in total, if applicable.
  
  Full-time.
  
  Travel percentage of up to 50% of the working day.
