Fork Lift Driver
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating industrial forklifts to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility. This role supports production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, or reach trucks as applicable) to transport materials within the facility
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of goods
- Supply production lines with necessary materials and remove finished products
- Stack and store materials in designated areas following inventory procedures
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records using scanners or warehouse systems
- Follow all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company policies
- Assist with general warehouse and production tasks as needed
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- 1+ year of forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
- Basic math and inventory tracking skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
- May require working evenings, weekends, or overtime depending on production needs
