Forklift Driver

The Forklift Driver moves packages and material around our facilities while operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.

Job duties

• Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles or locations and stacking them to assigned places.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Locating and moving stack of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Observing and comply with quality, environment, health, and safety procedures.
• Checking all product descriptions of the merchandise to be moved.
• Transporting raw materials to production workstations.
• Inspecting machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Keeping updated records of inventory and activity logs.
• Complying with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Helping maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
• Provide support in the Warehouse as required.
• Operates vehicles and delivers goods to customers where necessary.
  
  Qualifications and Skills
• A minimum of 4 CXCs inclusive of English Language and Mathematics at General Proficiency
• Forklift Licence
• Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• 2+ years’ experience operating powered forklifts would be an asset.
