Forklift Operator and General Warehouse

The Forklift Operator and General Warehouse Employee plays a key role in our operations, responsible for safely operating forklifts for loading and unloading merchandise, as well as assisting with general warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the forklift to transport materials to and from designated areas, storage locations, and production areas.
• Inspect the forklift before each use to ensure proper working conditions and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor and perform routine maintenance on the forklift, such as refueling, checking oil and water levels, and cleaning, to ensure optimal performance.
• Load and unload materials on or off pallets and platforms, ensuring proper storage and securing to prevent damage or movement during transport.
• Properly package merchandise to ensure correct storage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting the movement of materials and products using proper documentation or inventory management systems.
• Always comply with safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment and following procedures for handling hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks and projects.
• Verify that received merchandise is in good condition and shows no signs of tampering.
• Check delivery documents to confirm the recipient and ensure the number of packages matches the packing list.
• Ensure that all received merchandise matches the reference and quantity indicated, noting any discrepancies with the delivery documents.
• Accurate and timely input received merchandise into the system within 24 hours.
• Consistently report task start and end times on the receipt log.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding workplace conduct, attendance, and performance standards.
• Participate in training programs and safety meetings to enhance knowledge and job skills.
• Perform other assigned or necessary tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience in areas related to Warehouse with a minimum of one (1) year of experience and forklift operation.
• Valid Driver License.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and maneuver forklift in tight spaces.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
