Formulation technologist
Job Description:
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a strong preference for roles in Formulation, Product Development, Quality, or R&D.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication in a global organization.
- Nice-to-have: A Master's degree in a relevant field (Nutrition, Chemistry, Quality) or experience with statistical analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Recipe and Formulation Development: Develop and optimize product recipes for new and existing products to meet nutritional, cost, and quality targets. This includes managing projects related to innovation, cost savings, and business continuity.
- Raw Material Management: Identify, evaluate, and approve new and alternative raw materials in collaboration with procurement and quality assurance teams. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining raw material specifications.
- Nutritional and Quality Compliance: Ensure all formulations comply with internal nutritional standards, food safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements. This includes managing the nutritional compliance program and leading risk assessments for any deviations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the subject matter expert on formulation and raw materials, working closely with various teams including R&D, Supply, Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS), and Commercial to drive projects and resolve manufacturing issues.
