Job Title: Forward Deployed AI Engineer - Technical Lead / Manager Location: Dublin (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week onsite) Eligibility Requirements: Must be an EU or Irish Citizen, or hold a valid Stamp 4 Visa. About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Forward Deployed AI Engineer & Technical Lead to join our growing AI & Data Consulting practice in Dublin. This unique role bridges elite engineering, scalable architecture, and client-facing delivery. You will work directly with premier Financial Services clients (Banking, Insurance, and Asset Management) to take complex, enterprise-grade GenAI solutions and multi-agent systems from concept to production. As a player-coach, you will code daily, define technical standards, and mentor junior engineers while navigating enterprise constraints like security, compliance, and legacy systems. Key Responsibilities Architect & Code: Design, build, and deploy scalable technical solutions using modern AI frameworks, multi-agent orchestration patterns (e.g., Tree-of-Thought, deliberation agents), and advanced RAG pipelines. Client Collaboration: Partner with enterprise stakeholders in Dublin to uncover AI opportunities, translate business needs into technical architectures, and guide successful system adoption. Governance & Safety: Implement enterprise-level evaluation/scoring frameworks, risk management strategies, and guardrails aligned with AI regulations (such as the EU AI Act). MLOps / LLMOps: Establish robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, drift monitoring, and token/cost governance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Team Leadership: Foster a learning culture by coaching junior developers, enforcing high-quality documentation, and establishing core engineering standards. Requirements Experience: 5+ years in ML/AI systems design with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale systems into production. Core Tech Stack: Expert-level Python; heavy experience with Docker, Kubernetes/ECS, and event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ). GenAI & NLP Expert: Deep understanding of Hugging Face, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and model evaluation across top providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, Llama). Data & Vector Systems: Hands-on experience with vector platforms (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) and complex knowledge architectures. Leadership Style: Comfortable acting as a hands-on architect who codes daily, designs MVPs, and leads engineering teams. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical executive stakeholders. Nice-to-Have Prior experience in the Financial Services (FS) or FinTech sector. MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
