Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI & ML Infrastructure (Remote, Full-time) — Micro1 via AI Gig Scout

micro1 is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer, full-time and remote with travel required, to work directly with leading AI labs and enterprises as a technical research and implementation partner. The role sits at the intersection of applied AI, ML infrastructure, data intelligence and partner-facing product development. What you will work on: define research goals and technical requirements with AI labs and enterprise partners; build large-scale data intelligence systems for collecting, organizing and evaluating training and evaluation data; implement ML pipelines for data curation, model training, evaluation and experimentation; design data taxonomies, labeling systems and quality frameworks; develop LLM applications including multi-agent systems, tool-using agents, RAG workflows, evaluation harnesses and human-in-the-loop systems; and build infrastructure for model inference, experimentation, evaluation and deployment, owning systems from discovery and architecture to deployment and reliability.
