Forward Deployed Engineer II

We're looking for a solid mid-senior Forward Deployed Engineer with client delivery experience to own delivery across two clients simultaneously, mentor FDE 1s, and make architecture-level calls for smaller systems.

Responsibilities:

• Own delivery across two client engagements simultaneously.
• Mentor and guide FDE 1s on code quality and delivery practices.
• Make architecture-level decisions for smaller systems.
• Balance hands-on coding with delivery ownership and client communication.
• Identify risks and blockers early; escalate and resolve proactively.
• Partner with client stakeholders to translate requirements into executable plans.

Requirements:

• 5-6 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Proven experience in client-facing delivery roles.
• Ability to design and reason about system architecture at a small scale.
• Track record of mentoring junior engineers.
• Comfort managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-moving startup.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in AI/ML, data platforms, or cloud infrastructure programs.
• Familiarity with agile delivery practices and PM tools (Jira, Linear, Notion, or similar).
• Exposure to MLOps or model deployment workflows.
• Prior startup or high-growth environment experience.
