Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Join an early forward deployed engineering team at an AI-powered software testing SaaS company. You will work directly with customer engineering teams and core product engineers, combining hands-on coding with technical leadership to make deployments successful and improve the product.

What You'll Do

• Understand customer architectures and design implementation strategies that fit their systems.
• Pair with customer engineers to integrate, deploy, and scale the product.
• Debug issues in core technology, including browser behavior, and build product features that address customer needs.
• Lead technical scoping, pilots, and rollouts with engineering leaders and senior technical teams.
• Bring field learnings to product development and help establish deployment processes, tooling, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Three to eight years of experience in a demanding engineering role, with recent production coding experience and customer-facing technical work.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, plus experience or interest in browser internals, CI/CD, web APIs, and testing infrastructure.
• Ability to navigate and debug complex, unfamiliar codebases and solve challenging technical problems.
• Experience owning integrations, deployments, or pilots with engineering teams, alongside interest in shaping a growing function.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, demonstrated through education or equivalent technical experience.
• Comfort working on-site in London and traveling to customer sites, up to 25%.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: £150,000 to £300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
