Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – Remote Contract

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with Cognizant's end clients, designing, developing, and deploying production-ready software solutions.

The role involves hands-on engineering, backend development, cloud technologies, system integrations, and collaborating with clients to solve complex business challenges.

Requirements

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages, along with SQL.
  

• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
  

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  

• Experience developing and deploying production applications.
  

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
  

• Ability to independently manage technical solutions from development through deployment.
