In this role, you design, build, and operate AI native enterprise applications that combine cloud native software engineering with production grade machine learning and agentic AI capabilities being embedded directly within customer environments and fast-moving delivery teams. You work closely with customers to translate ambiguous business and operational requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable solutions, to solve complex real world business problems at speed owning technical delivery from discovery and prototyping through deployment, stabilization, and successful handover to platform or operations teams. You are accountable for the technical quality, reliability, and impact of application solutions within your scope. Working closely with product, data, ML, and customer teams, you apply modern AI assisted engineering practices and architectural guardrails aligned with SAP standards to enable responsible and scalable AI adoption.

What you Bring

You bring 14+ years of hands-on experience in software and application engineering across cloud-native, enterprise, and SaaS environments, along with a strong understanding of architectural principles such as scalability, security, and reliability. You have a proven ability to design and deliver AI-native applications using large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, vector databases, and agentic systems to transform enterprise workflows. You are proficient in widely used AI/ML Python libraries and frameworks and have experience with data pipelines and MLOps practices. You are skilled at integrating Agentic AI into complex business processes while ensuring the responsible and effective use of AI within enterprise operations. You possess a solid foundation in cloud platforms, distributed systems, scalability, security, and reliability, and you have experience owning solutions across the full application lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and production operations. You excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts with clarity and influence. You bring a strong learning mindset, technical leadership, and accountability to high-impact, ambiguous environments, and you proactively leverage AI in your daily work, ensuring high-quality outcomes through thoughtful context design, prompt engineering, and system integration.

What you Build

In this role, you will:

You will design, develop, and operate production-grade, cloud-native enterprise applications that integrate AI capabilities such as large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-based workflows. You will embed directly within customer projects and fast-moving cross-functional teams to rapidly understand business processes, technical landscapes, and operational challenges. Working closely with stakeholders, you will translate business and product requirements into robust application architectures that balance speed, quality, security, and long-term maintainability. You will rapidly prototype, iterate, and productionize solutions in customer environments, adapting reference architectures and reusable assets to meet real-world enterprise constraints. You will own the end-to-end delivery of applications, from problem framing and prototyping through deployment, observability, and production operations. You will apply AI-assisted engineering practices, evaluation frameworks, and architectural guardrails to ensure compliant, trustworthy, and high-quality solutions. You will be responsible for meeting delivery milestones, quality standards, and technical objectives while proactively managing risks and technical escalations. As a key technical interface for customers and internal stakeholders, you will clearly communicate solution approaches, trade-offs, and progress. Additionally, you will contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and reusable components that improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across solutions.
