Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $6,000 – $10,000 USD/month

Company Overview

An early-stage, venture-backed AI company is building autonomous AI agents for industrial businesses.

The company focuses on helping industrial organizations increase revenue and expand margins by automating complex, traditionally manual workflows with AI.

The platform enables AI agents to understand technically complex products and execute workflows involving quoting, product matching, pricing, inventory, order management, and customer communication.

This is an opportunity to join a very early-stage company, work closely with the founding team, and have significant ownership over products that are already being used in real-world business environments.

Challenge

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer in LATAM to work directly with customers and the founding team to turn real-world industrial workflows into working, end-to-end AI agents.

This is a highly hands-on role at the intersection of AI engineering, full-stack development, customer discovery, and production engineering.

One day you may be mapping how an inside sales team handles RFQs. The next day, you may be building an integration with a legacy ERP, improving product matching, writing evaluations for an AI agent, debugging a production issue, or speaking directly with an experienced industry professional to understand how their workflow actually operates.

You will work across the full product lifecycle, from understanding customer problems and mapping workflows to building, deploying, debugging, and continuously improving AI agents in production.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build AI agents for quote intake, order entry, product matching, pricing, inventory checks, and customer/vendor communication.
  • Integrate AI agents with real-world systems including ERPs, CRMs, email inboxes, APIs, spreadsheets, and legacy systems.
  • Work directly with customers and users to understand how their workflows actually operate.
  • Ship full-stack features across backend services, internal tools, customer-facing interfaces, and data pipelines.
  • Build evaluation and learning loops to continuously improve agent reliability.
  • Debug production issues in customer environments and deliver practical solutions quickly.
  • Turn one-off customer fixes into reusable product capabilities.
  • Work closely with the founding team on product decisions and technical tradeoffs.
  • Use modern AI coding tools to rapidly prototype, build, and iterate on solutions.
  • Translate customer problems into technical requirements and production-ready implementations.
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites to understand workflows and deploy solutions in real-world environments.
  • Operate with high autonomy in ambiguous situations without a predefined playbook.

Must Have

  • Technical background with a degree in, or currently pursuing, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • Practical experience building LLM/AI projects outside of academic coursework.
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar.
  • Experience developing full-stack applications, including frontend, backend, and APIs.
  • Experience integrating applications with external systems, APIs, databases, or other data sources.
  • Experience working directly with customers or end users to understand problems and build technical solutions.
  • Strong English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment with high ownership and limited structure.
  • Comfortable working directly with users and building solutions based on real-world workflows.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.
  • Based in LATAM.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain companies or processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Graph, or email integrations.
  • Previous customer-facing technical experience in FDE, Solutions Engineering, Implementation, Consulting, Founder, or Freelance roles.
  • Experience building AI agents or automation tools that have been used by real users or customers.
  • Experience debugging and deploying software in customer production environments.
  • Experience working with messy, legacy, or poorly documented systems.
  • Experience with workflows involving product matching, pricing, inventory, sales operations, or order management.

Soft Skills

  • Strong customer communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • High ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable working directly with customers and users.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly proactive and capable of solving ambiguous problems independently.
  • Comfortable operating without a predefined playbook.
  • Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn about industries outside of technology.
  • Fast learner who enjoys experimenting and iterating quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a highly dynamic startup environment.
  • Strong judgment when balancing customer needs and product priorities.
  • Comfortable working closely with founders and senior leadership.
  • Ability to move quickly from understanding a problem to shipping a practical solution.

Benefits

  • $6,000 – $10,000 USD/month
  • Fully remote within LATAM
  • Opportunity to work directly with the founding team
  • High ownership and autonomy in an early-stage, venture-backed AI company
  • Direct exposure to real customers and production AI systems
  • Opportunity to build AI agents from the ground up
  • Exposure to the full startup lifecycle: customer discovery, product, engineering, deployment, support, and iteration
  • Opportunity to travel to customer sites and work directly with industrial teams
  • Opportunity to help shape AI products for a massive and traditionally underserved industry
