Job Description

Plans and organizes daily operations and activities in support of a Business Unit or large department’s business activities. Assists leadership with initiatives related to Human Resources, operational and administrative functions. Ensures alignment with department goals and objectives. Supports staff and activities, approves payroll, and maintains files on all Foundation programs.

Job Responsibility

Plans and organizes daily operations and activities in support of BU/ departmental business activities.
In conjunction with the VP, Operations, liaises with Corporate HR in the planning and execution of programs including performance management, recognition/employee engagement programs, and training and development initiatives, as needed.
Manages team payroll and works with Corporate Payroll to rectify payroll issues, as needed.
Participates in developing and delivering training, as necessary. Onboards new hires and manages internship program.
Serves as administrative point person for Emergency Management. Coordinates emergency planning and maintains necessary contact information.
Communicates Health System’s initiatives and requirements with department, as needed.
Streamlines operations by applying new concepts and techniques while ensuring compliance with associated BU/ departmental rules and regulations.
Participates in BU / departmental special projects: develops, implements, tracks and reports on project results. Makes recommendations for improvement as needed.
Work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.
With general guidance, responsible for working on assignments of limited to moderate complexity.
Regularly exercises independent judgment on matters of significance within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions/approaches
Understands department, division, corporate strategy and operating objectives, including impacts.
Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations. Identifies potential/technical business issues.
Requires minimal direction. Seeks guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience

1-3 years of prior technical experience, preferred

Philanthropy data management experience, preferred

Innovative team player, comfortable working in a fast paced environment, preferred

Advanced skillset in Blackbaud software (Raiser’s Edge NXT), preferred
