About Perit

Perit AI (YC F26) builds specialised training data for frontier AI labs reinforcement learning environments, agentic and conversational data, and audio, image and video annotation. Our customers are the teams training the next generation of models, and we have scaled to a network of several hundred specialist annotators in under a year.

The role

You will work directly with the founding team and own the commercial front: finding AI labs, talking to them, understanding what they need, and making sure we deliver it. It starts broad founder's office, whatever needs doing and moves quickly toward owning GTM outright.

This is a front-facing role with a real technical bar. You will be on calls with research and data teams at frontier labs. You do not need to write code, but you do need to understand what they are building well enough to hold the conversation: what an RL environment is and why it is hard to build, how agentic trajectory data differs from conversational data, what a lab means when it talks about post-training or evals. If you do not already follow this space closely, this is not the role for you.

What you'll own

  • Client conversations. Run calls with AI labs and AI-first companies. Scope what they need, push back where the ask is unclear, and translate it into something our delivery teams can execute.
  • Pipeline. Build and run outbound to labs. You own the pipeline who we target, what we say, what converts not just the execution of someone else's plan.
  • Automation. Use agentic AI to scale GTM: automated research on target accounts, enrichment, personalised outreach at volume, reporting that builds itself. We expect you to build the system rather than do the work by hand.
  • Delivery. Own projects end to end scope, timeline, stakeholders, quality, and the handover back to the client. When something slips, you are the one who knows first and fixes it.
  • Market awareness. Stay current on model releases, new research directions and what labs are training next. This is part of the job, not homework.

What we're looking for

  • Exceptional spoken and written English. You are the first impression a frontier lab gets of us. This is non-negotiable.
  • Real technical literacy in AI. You follow model releases, you read or at least track the research, and you can hold your own on RL, agents, LLM post-training and evals without bluffing.
  • Fluent use of AI tools. Claude and Claude Code should already be in your daily workflow, not something you would learn on the job.
  • Speed. Priorities shift weekly here and workflows get rebuilt. You should find that energising rather than destabilising.
  • Ownership. You take something and finish it without being chased, and you say early when it is going wrong.

Good to have

  • Founder's office experience at early stage startups.
  • Background in AI/ML operations, data annotation or a technical degree
  • Scripting and automation Python, APIs, or agent frameworks
  • Prior founder's office, chief of staff or early-stage generalist experience

Why this role

You will be the commercial face of a YC-backed company to some of the most interesting technical buyers in the world, with the founders beside you rather than above you. The scope is as large as you can handle, and it grows as we do.
