About the Role:
Founders Office roles in cybersecurity and defense organizations support the founder in strategic
execution across high-stakes environments. They require versatility to handle operations, growth,
and threat-focused initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the founder's strategic partner by handling critical issues, accelerating decisions
with data on cyber threats and defense contracts, and leading projects like new SOC
capabilities or partnerships.
- Oversee cross-functional alignment across R&D, sales, HR, and defense ops to drive
execution on priorities such as vulnerability management, fundraising, and regulatory
compliance.
- Drive growth through fundraising, investor relations, talent acquisition like SOC analysts,
and culture-building in cybersecurity settings with defense elements.
- Monitor industry trends in cybersecurity risks, defense tech, and market opportunities to
shape strategy and mitigate threats.
Requirements
- Candidates need 5+ years in startups or tech, ideally in cybersecurity or defense, with
prior Chief of Staff or strategy roles preferred.
• Key skills include strategic thinking, project management, data analysis using Excel or
Python, and knowledge of cyber tools, Zero Trust architectures, and compliance
standards like NIST.
- BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in CS/IS or equivalent is required, with cyber certifications such as
CISSP or CEH being advantageous.
- Essential soft skills encompass high adaptability, discretion, strong communication,
and the ability to influence across teams in a fast-paced startup.
