Founding Account Executive – AI Security
Description
You've closed deals with billion-dollar enterprises yourself. Be the first AE where demand already outruns the team.
An early-stage San Francisco startup in AI security helps enterprise security and risk teams understand the full supply chain behind their AI agents: vendors, models, and every connector and plugin the agents use. Its clients include major US names in insurance, finance, healthcare and law. Inbound and outbound leads already exceed what the team can handle. As the first dedicated AE you own all new pipeline, with deal sizes from six to seven figures.
What you'll own
- All new enterprise pipeline, from first conversation to signed contract
- A repeatable enterprise sales motion, built from scratch
- Deals with security, risk and procurement stakeholders, with cycles from three weeks to nine months
- Market feedback that goes straight to the founders and the product
Must-haves
- You've led and signed deals yourself with $1B+ revenue enterprises, ideally Fortune 50 accounts (results driven mainly by inbound, brand pull or self-serve, or SMB and mid-market only, won't fit)
- Experience selling a technical product, such as security, observability, developer tools or infrastructure
- You build your own pipeline without needing a playbook, SDRs or sales engineers
- At least 1 year as an AE; your enterprise closing record matters most
- Working from the San Francisco office, 9-9-6 (relocation is fine)
- Authorised to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Bonus points
- Founding or early AE at a startup that moved upmarket
- Customers in insurance, finance or healthcare
- Cybersecurity sales experience
What's in it for you
- $120k base, $240k OTE, plus equity
- A founding seat in a small, founder-led team of engineers, researchers and ex-founders
- Real ownership instead of a territory
Good to know
- Full-time, on-site in San Francisco, 9-9-6
- No visa sponsorship for this role
- Process: profile review → conversations with both founders → a meeting with the go-to-market team → take-home → on-site → offer
When you apply, please include
- Your CV (PDF) and your LinkedIn URL
- An enterprise deal you ran end to end: the stakeholders, the blockers and how you got through procurement
- A quick win and a long-cycle win, with deal sizes
- Your current location, and whether you're open to relocating to San Francisco
- Confirmation that you can work in the US without sponsorship
- Your base and OTE expectation, your notice period, and any other interview processes you're in
