Complif

Founding Account Executive

Posted Updated
Discussion

We are looking for our first Account Executive to grow the US market with one of our founders. This person will own the sales cycle in the US, generating and closing deals with banks, credit unions, broker-dealers and other regulated institutions.

We want a hunter who enjoys starting with an empty CRM. Someone who has sold to compliance and operations teams at financial institutions, already knows a few of them by name, and wants to grow into a strategic position as the business expands in the country. You’ll be the first Sales position, with the job to turn the US into Complif's largest market. You’ll work with Sales Engineering on demos and technical questions, with Product on US requirements, with Marketing on events and content, and with Customer Success on the hand-off after signature.

What you will do

In this role you will:

  • Define target segments and accounts with the COO.
  • Run your own outbound: research, cold calls, LinkedIn, referrals and partner introductions.
  • Run discovery, demos and proposals for compliance, business and technology stakeholders.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and take deals all the way to signature.
  • Represent Complif at US industry events (ACAMS, SIFMA, ABA, banking and broker associations).
  • Keep the CRM current and report pipeline, forecast and market findings weekly.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B enterprise sales.
  • Experience selling software to US financial institutions: banks, credit unions, broker-dealers, RIAs, asset managers, fintechs or BaaS providers. Existing relationships with compliance, risk or operations leaders.
  • Track record of building your own pipeline through outbound, not only working inbound leads.
  • Based in New York City, and available to travel across the US.
  • Able to run a product demo alone and explain BSA/AML, KYC/CIP, CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, SAR filing and periodic reviews in business terms.
  • Strongly preferred: experience selling compliance, AML/KYC, RegTech, risk or fraud software.
  • Nice to have: fluent Spanish.

Location and work mode

In office in New York City most days. Full time with exclusivity. Regular travel within the US to events.

Compensation

$120,000-$180,000 base salary, plus commission based on quota attainment and equity.
